By regularly attending trade fairs and accessing our existing networks in China, we can help provide you with a shortlist of potential suppliers and accompanying reports including a detailed risk and suitability assessment. We can also help you manage technical and social audits on the ground so you have a complete understanding of who you are working with.
Quality control and social auditing management
The large majority of shipments that have gone wrong could have been easily avoided by appropriate quality assurance. A key part of this is conducting quality control inspections on the factory floor. In almost all cases, we strongly recommend at least one QC inspection to avoid any disappointing surprises when your shipment arrives at your door.
Ginkgo can help develop your quality assurance plan including managing quality control inspections conducted by our partners in China. This includes auditing the supplier before you place the order with the following audit types:
1. Technical capability audits:
This is an in-depth evaluation of the supplier to check business certificates and company information, business and export licenses. It also includes an in-depth look at their product process and capacity to determine if they are capable of producing as promised and at the level of quality you require.
2. Social compliance audits:
Professional auditors will visit the factory to check child labour and ethical working conditions. This will include checking that the factory is safe for workers and the suppliers’ environmental policy meets standards (SA8000). 3. Product quality inspections:
Ginkgo can arrange and manage product quality inspections in the factory. We generally advise that there should be at least one product inspection before the goods ship to avoid any surprises when you receive your goods. We help you determine what type and level of quality control will be most suitable for your project.
